Erza recruits Natsu to help her "destroy the moon" as Lucy and Gray look on with disbelief. Can Natsu and Erza really destroy the moon?
Erza asks Natsu to help her destroy the moon so they can complete the request of the villagers. Natsu happily accepts the challenge and Lucy and Gray look on in disbelief. Erza has equipped herself with Giant Armor which greatly increases her throwing ability and she then equips herself with the Lance of Haja, which repels darkness. They get up to a watch tower and Erza begins to throw the lance and has Natsu use his flame magic to give it an extra boost and she sends it flying towards the moon. It flies up and hits something. Everyone watches in amazement as the moon appears to crack and shatter and then the cracks go beyond the moon and a part of the sky shatters and falls to the ground and the moon is now its regular color instead of purple. Erza explains that the island had been covered by a lens that had been formed by the creation of the moon drip. The lens caused the moon to appear to be purple and also affected the villagers. The island starts to glow and the villagers do not change. They are still in their demon form, but Erza explains that they were demons from the beginning. The moon drip affected their memories and made them think they were humans that had changed into demons when they were actually demons to start with. They already had the ability to take a human form. She also explains that the moon drip only affects the memories of demons and has no effect on humans, thus explaining why Lyon and the others were not affected. She also explains that since they are demons that they could not get near the ruins of such a holy place.
Bobo then appears and everyone is shocked to see him. They all thought he was dead and he explains that a demon cannot be killed by a stab to the chest. Gray asks Bobo how he disappeared from the boat and Bobo jumps up and sprouts wings. He says that he was the only one who regained his memory so he left the island. His dad flies up and hugs him and then all the other demons fly up and join in the celebration.
The chief and Bobo explain that they created the rumor of a curse on the island so that they would be left alone because of their appearance. Now that they have had a good experiance with the people of Fairy Tail, they feel that maybe they can interact with regular humans now and Erza agrees that they will do fine since they are open and friendly.
Yuka and Sherry arrive at the village and say that they have come to pay them back for what they have done. Natsu is ready for another fight but Bobo says that it's time for the villagers to stand up and protect their own village. Erza tells everyone to stand down and that she will handle the intruders. She knocks both of them to the ground and Yuka acknowledges that they are no match for Erza and says that the real reason that they came was to make amends for what they had done. They tell them that they were blinded by their want of vengance on Deliora for the friends and family that it had killed. They didn't realize how much the vengance blinded them to the fact that they were acting no better than the monster that they wished to destroy. Everyone accepts their apology and Natsu grabs them and insists they join in the celebration.
Zalty is communication to Seigrein through a crystal ball and Seigrein says that Fairy Tail has exceeded his expectations and hopes that they never get in their way. Zalty removes his mask and changes form to reveal that Zalty was actually Ultear.
The next day, the villagers offer the reward for the mission and Erza refuses to accept since the mission was not properly accepted by the guild and was taken on by members who did not have the authority to do so. They offer the Golden Gate Key as their way of saying thanks and Erza accepts it. Bobo offer to take them back to port but Erza already has a ship. She had taken over a pitrate ship and it was still there and they leave on it. Lyon, Sherry, Yuka, and Toby watch as they sail off and Lyon considers what Gray told him and asks if guilds are fun.
Ultear meets with Seigrein and they are disappointed that Deliora was already dead. Ultear didn't expect Ul's magic to be so powerful, but Seigrein says that she should have realized just how powerful her mother was. Seigrein asks what she thought of her encounter with Natsu and she says that she was impressed with how powerful he was.
As they are walking back to the guild, Gray asks Lucy which key she got and she tells him that it is Sagittarius, the Archer. He is supposed to be half horse and half man. Erza reminds them that they will still be punished when they get back to the guild.
