Fairy Tail Episode 10 Summary

Natsu takes on Erza to prove that he has gotten strong enough to beat her in a fight, but they are interrupted when Erza is arrested. Why has Erza been arrested and will she have to leave Fairy Tail?

The council is meeting and they are discussing the events that just happened and Seigrain says that Fairy Tail saved them this time and he is impressed they took out an entire Dark Guild with just 4 to 5 people. After the destruction that they caused in the effort, the council decides that some form of punishment is warranted.

Lucy writes a letter to her mom about the events that have taken place and doesn't realize that Gray had entered her house and was sitting behind her. She kicks him for entering without asking and he tells her that he came to remind her because he figured that she had forgotten. Today is the day that Natsu and Erza have their battle.

Natsu and Erza begin their battle and both are going all out. They are in the height of their battle when they are interrupted by a messenger from the council. The messenger informs them that Erza has been placed under arrest for all the damages that were done in the incident with the Eisenwald Guild. 

Later, everyone is depressed as they await the verdict at Fairy Tail and Natsu has been changed into a lizard and is being held under a glass to keep him from trying to go and rescue Erza and cause more problems. 

Erza is being led to the chamber to receive her punishment when she is approached by Seigrain and he tells her not to tell the Council about their past for both of their sakes and he leaves. She walks in and the Council begins their judgment. 

Lucy wants to go and say something in Erza's defense and Makarov tells her that it's pointless because she would not make it in time and he looks at "Natsu" (who is still a gecko) and asks him if he wants to be set free and "Natsu" doesn't immediately say something and Makarov asks why he has nothing to say and then uses his magic and changes him back and it's Macao! Macao felt he owed Natsu one for saving him and did it to repay him. It appears that Natsu is headed to the Council meeting to save Erza and everyone is worried at what Natsu will do when he gets there.

As the Council is about to sentence Erza, Natsu bursts into the meeting by punching through the wall. He is wearing a ridiculous outfit and says that he is Erza and challenges the Council. The Coucil directs that both be put in prison.

While they are in a cell, Erza tells Natsu that if he had not interfered, she would have been back at Fairy Tail by now since the Council was only making a show of enforcing the laws over wizards and guilds. Natsu apologizes and Erza thanks him for coming. Seigrain is standing outside and now knows that Natsu is a member of Fairy Tail.

Natsu is celebrating his freedom and Elfman reminds him of his battle with Erza and Natsu challenges her again and she tells him no that she is tired. He charges at her and she punches him in the stomach and he falls to the floor. Then everyone starts to fall asleep except Makarov. Mystogan enters and takes a job. His powerful spell has put everyone asleep and Makarov tells him to release his sleep spell. He leaves and releases it as he disappears. Everyone wakes up and Gray says that no one has seen Mystogan's face since he puts everyone to sleep when he comes and that Makarov is the only one to have seen his face. Laxus interrupts him and tells them that he has seen his face too and that they should stay out of Mystogan's business. Laxus is the strongest in Fairy Tail and Natsu jumps up and challenges him to a fight. Laxus tells Natsu to come upstairs and he tries but is stopped by Makarov. Makarov won't let anyone up to the second floor except 5 people in Fairy Tail. The jobs posted up there are S class jobs and the slightest mistake could mean death. There are only 5 people in Fairy Tail that are qualified to take on such jobs. Mirajane says that Lucy should avoid these types of jobs and Lucy agrees.

Lucy goes home to find Natsu and Happy lifting weights and doing sit ups in her bed. She tells them to get out and Natsu says that they have to train hard to beat Erza and Laxus. He then tells her that he's decided to take an S class job. It's a job to save a cursed island. Lucy tells him that there is no way that she will go and tells them to leave her out of it. They leave but purposely leave the job poster on the floor and Lucy sees that one of the Golden Gate Keys is listed as part of the reward and she changes her mind and runs to catch up with Natsu and Happy. 

Mirajane reports to Makarov that one of the S class jobs is missing...
